Food Distribution
We recognize that there are significant food insecurities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our goal through our Food Distribution program is to address it so that families have, at minimum, their basic nutritional needs met. We are able to make this happen thanks to our amazing volunteer distribution team members, partnerships with local grocery stores to minimize their food waste, and our many generous donors. We are currently distributing boxes/bags of food Monday through Saturday to families in need. Listed below are our current distribution sites:

Back to School Drive
We commonly see families experience financial hardship in the San Francisco Bay Area. These families struggle to provide school resources and supplies so that their children have a strong start to the upcoming the school year. Circle of Inspiration aims to bridge that gap and hopes for every student to have a successful school year.
Each fall, Circle of Inspiration hosts a back-to-school drive. We work with sponsors, gather backpacks, and source school supplies to help students K-12th grade prepare for the upcoming school year. Since the pandemic, we have implemented safety measures such as no-contact pickups to ensure the safety of all participating individuals.
Every student receives a new backpack filled with school supplies such as pencils, pens, paper, binders, notebooks, drawing instruments, and other grade-specific supplies. We believe that kids learn best when they’re prepared and we want to prepare them for success.
Thanksgiving Event
While Thanksgiving represents a time of family, appreciation, and bounty, many local families cannot afford to provide a meal. Since the pandemic started, we have utilized a no contact system to safely connect and coordinate donors (both organizations and local individuals) and local families in need. In 2021, our event helped provide a warm Thanksgiving meal to over 90 local families!
We believe that every family deserves special, delicious, and heartwarming moments together.
Holiday Gift Giving Event
Circle of Inspiration hosts an annual end-of-the-year holiday gift event for families in need. Families within our COI community, local schools, and local non-profits are matched with donors to provide gifts for children. In 2021 we helped over 600 families receive gifts for their children. Given the pandemic, we adapted our holiday event (e.g. no contact pick up and drop offs, masks) to ensure the safety of all of our participants.
